Digital Camera Copy Stand Instructions
- Purchase an 8cm mini CD-R at the Reference Desk for $1.00.
- The digital camera settings are preset for shooting images at the copy stand.
- DO NOT CHANGE THE SETTINGS.
- Use the copy stand lights with the filters. Turn off overhead lights.
- Insert 8cm mini CD-R disc into camera.
- Open the disc cover.
- Slide the disc cover OPEN lever away from you and open the back of the camera.
- Place an 8cm mini CD-R disc in the disc tray.
- Place the disc with the printed side up and push down on the center of the disc until it clicks.
- Close the disc cover.
- When the ACCESS light is flashing, the image data is being read or written. NEVER open the disc cover or turn off the power when the ACCESS light is flashing.
- Initialize the 8cm mini CD-R disc (a must before using a new disc).
- Set the mode dial to the BLACK CAMERA with P icon.
- Turn on the camera by pressing POWER.
- The power lamp (green) will light up indicating the power is on.
- Camera will prompt you to initialize disc. This MUST be done to record onto the disc.
- Press the up button ▲(top button of navigation control pod).
- Select [OK] and press the center ● ENTER button (middle button of navigation control pod).
- Do NOT move or shake camera during this process.
- The 8cm mini CD-R disc and digital camera are ready for taking pictures.
- Press the shutter button half way to focus.
- Press the shutter button all the way down to shoot.
- Take pictures as you would with the regular 35mm camera.
- The digital camera is preset for 3.1 mega pixel FINE quality JPEG images.
- Each 8cm mini CD-R disc will hold approx 81 JPEG images.
- Finalize the 8cm mini CD-R disc (unless performed, the CD-R is not readable by a computer).
- The camera should still be turned on.
- Turn the mode dial to SET UP.
- Select DISC TOOL 1 with the menu arrows / on the control buttons.
- Select FINALIZE with the , and then press .
- Select [OK] with the , on the control buttons, then press the ● center ENTER key.
- Select [OK] again with the , on the control buttons, then press the ● center ENTER key.
- Finalization takes approx 5-10 minutes, depending on the quantity of images taken.
- Turn the mode dial to BLACK CAMERA (P).
- Turn off the POWER and remove mini CD-R disc.
- Press the POWER key.
- The POWER lamp goes out, and the camera is off.
- Open the disc cover.
- Slide the disc cover OPEN lever away from you and open the back of the camera.
- Firmly grasp the edges of the 8cm mini CD-R disc and lift from mounts.
- You will hear a click when the disc is released.
- Close the disc cover.
- Please leave the digital camera as you found it.
