Reference Services
The reference staff strives to meet and exceed your expectations
by providing quality reference services. The primary purpose of Ingalls
Library reference services is to support the research needs of the museum
staff, the students and professors in the joint program in art history
with Case Western Reserve University, and to serve Museum Members, and
the general public.

Reference Desk - Your fastest answer is always found speaking to a reference
librarian. The Library reference desk is staffed from 10am to 5pm Tuesday
to Friday and until 9pm on Wednesdays during the academic year.
Telephone Reference - If you are unable to visit the reference desk in
person, you are welcome to call in to speak to a librarian by telephone.
The reference phone is staffed at the above hours, 216.707.2530.
Ask a Librarian - Reference is also available
to you via our online question form. A librarian will answer your question
within 24 hours, holidays and weekends excepted.
Programs and Services - In addition to the
above resources, the Ingalls Library reference staff provides numerous
classes on electronic resources, collection interpretation, and other
topics. A calendar of events is located on the Library
Blog.
Additional Amenities -
Photocopiers: Two self serve photocopy machines are located in the reference room for your convenience.
Black and white copies are available from either machine for 10 cents per page. Enlargements and oversize
paper are an additional 10 cents. Color copies are available for $2 per page from the color copier. Color
study images may be printed from the reference desk to the color copier for the same price. Copy cards are
available for a dollar at the reference desk.
Printer:You are welcome to print from the library computers to the printer located behind the reference desk.
Printouts are 5 cents per page.
Digital Camera: If you would like to create
a digital image from one of our resources for educational or study purposes,
a photo stand and camera are provided in the reference room. Discs for
the camera are $1. Please ask for details at the reference desk. Scanners
are not allowed. Instructions for
