The prestigious award-winning Chinese archaeological journal Wen Wu is now being published in English, both in print and online. Wen Wu has been published since the 1950’s and is well known for its scholarly articles and in-depth reporting of Chinese archaeological surveys and fieldwork. Until the publication of Chinese Cultural Relics in English, this renowned journal was only available in Chinese, but is now accessible to English and Chinese speakers alike.
Each issue of Chinese Cultural Relics contains content from three recent issues of Wen Wu and each article contains the same information, photographs and hand-drawn illustrations as in the Chinese version. Subjects covered include new archaeological findings, bronze wares, bamboo slips and documents, inscriptions and epitaphs, archaeological preservation, and more.
The most recent issues of Chinese Cultural Relics are available in the Recent Acquisitions area of the Ingalls Library. To access the online version go to the record for Chinese Cultural Relics in the library catalog here or go to the E-Journals A-Z list on the library homepage and choose from the C’s!
In addition, you can find Wen Wu here (only available in print).
