New books arrive to the recent acquisitions table in the reading room every week. Ingalls Library catalogers take special care to annotate new volumes that feature Cleveland Museum of Art objects.
Preserved in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s photography collection , but previously in the Ingalls Library, is a little gem: a set of 19th century Japanese photographs housed in a lacquered album decorated in the maki-e technique.
With the redesign of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s public website, the Ingalls Library has created a fresh new look for our own pages. The library catalog still resides at library.clevelandart.org, but we have streamlined the page. We call it the Collections Compass, and it consolidates the menus that once appeared on the left hand side of the page, at the top.
