The Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies was established through the combination of the Kyujanggak Archives and the Institute of Korean Studies. Through the preservation, organization, and examination of the materials at the Kyujanggak, our institute focuses on the research of Korean history and culture. The main time period in which we keep our emphasis on is from the end of the Joseon Dynasty to the beginning of modern times but we also work on expanding our scope of research from materials of the medieval times to post modern times. Along with such research, we also gear significant amount of effort into collecting materials from ancient to modern times, including various photographs and video clips. The collection of historical articles in which our institute has in stored, along with the great scholars who are devoted to the research done at our institute makes Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies as one of the major institutions of, and the center of all Korean studies. We will continue to pursue our goals in playing a leading role in the development of Korean Studies worldwide. We appreciate all of those who participate and support us in our efforts. Thank you.
