Stickley's Craftsman Homes

While there are numerous sources on Gustav Stickley in the Ingalls Library collection, the recently acquired Stickley's Craftsman Homes: Plans, Drawings, Photographs by Ray Stubblebine is a welcome addition.  The first section of the book focuses on the history of Craftsman homes and Gustav Stickley's design.  The second half traces the designs of homes offered in issues of The Craftsman chronologically.  As the title suggests, the author relies on plans, drawings, and photographs to show how Stickley's ideas were executed and how the buildings survive to this day.   As any fan of this style is aware, the details are the most telling.  The author is thorough in his accounting of said details.
