Contemporary Artist Index : The Gund Library's Contemporary Artists Index, developed and maintained by the CIA library staff, provides access to artists in groups exhibition catalogs that had been added to the Cleveland Institute of Art's library since 1991. This unique resource now contains over 26,511 artists and designers in 1,412 group exhibition catalogs and is especially useful for finding information on emerging and minority artists, artists working in new media, and artists and designers working collaboratively.

Artist’ Books Index : While we are on the topic of the Gund Library, our neighbors have also put together a great index to their collection of over 1400 artist’ books. In addition to searches by artist, the search form allows for subject searches, as well as physical descriptors, like materials such as rubber bands, playing cards, or jute fiber. For those interested in artist’ books, this is a fascinating resource.

Personalized Instruction : We continue to offer personalized reference instruction to all staff and museum members. Please feel free to contact me with your reference needs.
