Gerda Bassenge (Auktionskatalog Nr. 11), Berlin, 23-27 April 1968, Nr. 581; [Sven H.A. Bruntjen].

Krönig 1971 remarks that a Hackert drawing that sold at Gerda Bassenge (he does not give the date of the sale) was signed and dated 1793, which seems to refer to the Cleveland work. The signature may have been on the old mount, the original appearance of which was unfortunately not documented when it was removed.
